QuestionSorry if I'm missing something super obvious, but was Lavender a woc in the books? I only ask because I know with other characters (Blaise and Dean are the ones I know of) that JK Rowling made them hire actors who were the correct race for the character. I just didn't know if I missed something! Answer

In a few of the earlier movies, Lavender was a minor character and her actress was Black. Then, when she had to be with Ron all the time in the sixth (i think it was the sixth) movie, they changed her to a white actress. http://yamino.tumblr.com/post/25465870987/how-lavender-brown-became-white I haven’t read the books in years but I’m 60% sure she was supposed to be Black. At least, that’s how I imagined her.
